Description: Irving Community Theater has grown to be one of the largest volunteer-based theatres in Texas. Typically over 150 different individuals contribute to each season. A working board, whose members are elected by the membership and typically possess significant community theater production experience, manages ICT. We perform in the 250-seat Dupree Theater in the Irving Arts Center. Our activities are supported by an organization that includes the ICT Studio, providing dedicated rehearsal space in addition to a costume shop and storage space. Community outreach includes a mailing list of over 4,000 names, a regularly published newsletter and our website. ICT MainStage produces a regular season of 5 shows a year. In addition, ICT also offers ICT Theater on the Edge (TOTE) productions in a black box setting.
